are reinforced by a forecast of 50,000 new arrivals between now and 2030. In 2010, the conurbation had 110,000
inhabitants, with 80,000 of working age.
Béziers Méditerranée is a major industrial centre in Languedoc Roussillon, and with its 11,500 companies (+ 11.6 % in 8 years; GDP/inhabitant/year: + 3.9 %), the number of jobs has grown by 32 % in the last decade as a result of its strong economic advantages ( territorial offer, local economic fabric, R&D ).
